Police said security footage from a camera inside the victim's home showed Passarella force open a back door.

Passarella, who had been staying on the same block with another resident, remained jailed Tuesday and would have to post a $10,000 bond to be released.

Police said they are investigating whether he was involved in other burglaries in Elmhurst.
