Kane County

• Mamie L. Courtney, 46, of the 1700 block of North Farnsworth Avenue, Aurora, was charged at 5:30 a.m. Oct. 23 with felony aggravated assault and domestic battery, according to a sheriff's report. She is accused of trying to hit a man along Plain Avenue near Aurora with her vehicle. No injuries were reported and she told authorities she was just trying to scare him, the report said.

• A resident of the 42W700 block of Steeple Chase Road near St. Charles reported that $860 in a white envelope was stolen between noon Oct. 20 and 7 p.m. Oct. 21 while the resident was moving from the home, according to a sheriff's report.

• James F. Haubrich, 29, of the 0-99 block of Hesterman Drive, Glendale Heights, was charged with obstructing a peace officer after authorities responded to a party in the 34W700 block of Clyde Parkway near St. Charles at 12:15 a.m. Oct. 21, according to a sheriff's report. Haubrich walked away from sheriff's deputies despite their commands to stop and was subsequently Tasered, the report noted.
