Koehler good for small business

As an employee of two small business in McHenry County, I am very aware the effect the economy has had on our small businesses. I am also aware of how important it is to have good leaders in place who know how to encourage responsible economic development during these difficult times.

I recently read an article about a report by the Department of Employment Security that showed McHenry County leading Illinois in job growth and reduction of unemployment this summer. I see letters from people who wish to point a negative finger at our county board chairman, but Ken Koehler’s results for McHenry County speak for themselves. He, along with his colleagues, have worked hard with agencies to help create and retain jobs.

As a taxpayer I appreciate the AAA bond rating that has resulted from sound fiscal management and practices. This is why our county is the best in Illinois and I am proud to have raised four kids in Crystal Lake.

I would hope Ken Koehler is re-elected because he is a proven leader who produces positive results for our county.
