Sente has been fiscally responsible

text size: AAA

Too many people are still struggling to make ends meet, yet our taxes keep rising. Unlike the career politicians in Springfield, Carol Sente opposed the state's income tax increase and stood up to her own party's leadership to pass reforms that require a line-by-line review of the budget, cut $1 billion in waste and pay down the state's debt. Carol is continuing to fight for fiscally responsible government by supporting reforms to cut gold-plated pensions and save billions of dollars, preventing taxpayers from bailing out pension funds in the future. To protect homeowners, she is also supporting a new law that would prohibit property tax increases when home values are declining.

Illinois government must break from its past of overspending and corruption. That's why I'm supporting Carol Sente for state representative over career politician and 14-year incumbent Sid Mathias. I hope you will join me.
