A fire of undetermined origin caused $20,000 damage Wednesday to a home in Schaumburg. Firefighters were called about 9 a.m. to the 100 block of Scully Drive after residents smelled something burning. A fire had begun in the second floor bathroom and spread into the master bedroom and attic. The two occupants and a dog escaped without incident, but the home was not habitable, firefighters said.
