Kids can submit their favorite holiday memories

Holiday in the Grove, the annual holiday festival slated for Dec. 1, is offering a “Favorite Memories Contest” for two grade levels: preschool through second grade, and third to fifth grade
On an 8½- by 11-inch sheet of white paper, the kids may either write or draw a favorite holiday memory. It must be submitted by Oct. 24.
A first- to third-place winner will be selected in each category and prizes will be awarded.
On the back of the entry, print the child’s first and last name, and contact information, including the phone number, which will not be made public.
Winners will be announced on Nov. 3 at the tree-lighting ceremony taking place at the Sugar Grove Community Building, 141 S. Main St. There will be other surprises, snacks and hot chocolate to enjoy.
Entries will be displayed at the Breakfast with Santa event during the Holiday in the Grove Event on Dec. 1.
Entries can be mailed to Holiday in the Grove NFP, P.O. Box 83, Sugar Grove, IL 60554 or at the Sugar Grove Public Library during regular hours. Please do not submit entries to your school.
