Sedgebrook Raises Money to Fight Alzheimer's

Congratulations to Sedgebrook-Independent Living and Radford Green of Sedgebrook for helping to support the Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's. The annual Walk which is held in different locations over several weekends is cumulatively the largest event to raise awareness and funds for the care, support and research of Alzheimer's disease. Associates and residents of Sedgebrook participated in the North Shore Walk on September 29th. "We were determined to raise a great amount to contribute towards this cause as we are part of the fight to end Alzheimer's," said Saba Ahmed, Dementia Unit Coordinator of Radford Green.

As Bronze Level Supporters of the Walk, the Sedgebrook team committed to raising $2500. Surpassing their own expectations, they raised $3585 through their participation in the Walk, as well as through a series of pre-event fundraisers that Saba Ahmed and Joanne Kopper, Social Service Coordinator at Independent Living, scheduled on campus.
