Daily Herald report

Forecasts for thunderstorms Saturday have led organizers of the Barrington Scarecrow Festival to move the event from its planned location at Memorial Park across the street to Hough Street School gymnasium, 310 S. Hough Street.

The festival still is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will feature pumpkin and cookie decorating, balloon animals, games and more. Bob the DJ will be on hand to delight the crowd with his special costume and favorite spooky songs. The Barrington Breakfast Rotary will be offering a variety of food available for purchase.
