Holy Family’s Fall Festival, Oktoberfest Oct. 20

Join in the fun of celebrating Inverness’ Holy Family Catholic Community’s first Fall Festival and Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Start your day at the Fall Festival at 1 p.m. with the Trick-or-Treat Candy Line, pony rides, pumpkin decorating, kids’ crafts, Halloween tattoos, Al James-magician, Hula-Whoop! dancers, Mr. Freeze and his Amazing Cryo Show, a stilt-walking scarecrow, entertainment, food, spirits and more. The fest is sure to keep kids happy all day. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

The afternoon entertainment lineup includes the Miller Brothers, Hoffman Estates High School Madrigal Singers and Shades of Blue, Broken In and DePaul Women’s a Cappella.

Enjoy food from Brothers BBQ and Allonco Meats and pizza from Ciao Baby! The Holy Family Catholic Community Parents Association will be selling doughnuts, taffy apples, cookies, hot apple cider and more.

Continue the celebration at Oktoberfest at 4 p.m. Enjoy food, drink and music. The band, 28 Days, will be headlining the event. Enter the Best German Attire contest.

The festivities will be located at 2515 Palatine Road, between Ela and Barrington roads, in Inverness. Both of these events are free to the public. For information go to holyfamilyparish.org.
