Lombard To Hold Special Blood Drive in Memory of Bill Mueller

“Bill Mueller was instrumental in the start of the community blood drives,” said Carol Bauer, Executive Coordinator and organizer of Lombard’s community blood drives. “President Mueller devoted most of his life supporting the residents and the community in so many ways. This special blood drive in his honor is just a small way to say thank you to a man who gave so much,” Bauer added. “Please help us spread the word and remember Bill by participating in the November 12 drive,” she said.

The blood drive will be held in two locations: Yorktown Center in a mobile coach parked by mall entrance #5 and the Village Hall Community Room. Times for the drive will be 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and 2-7 p.m., respectively.

This special blood drive has been scheduled so that anyone who donated blood at the Village’s September 12 community blood drive is eligible to donate blood again. To check other questions regarding donation eligibility, contact Heartland Blood Centers at 1-800-7To-Give.

Appointments are highly recommended and may be made online at www.heartlandbc.org or by contacting Carol Bauer at (630) 620-5712.
