Altrusa International of Fox Valley Awards Scholarship

Kimberly had been a hair dresser for 25 years in Oswego. She can no longer follow this career due to Fibromyalgia (a chronic pain disorder that is aggravated by long standing).

Kimberly decided to return to school to become a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has completed step one by recieving her associate degree. She is now beginning her internship for her CADC-Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification.

Altrusa International of Fox Valley awards one scholarship per school year to a woman over the age of 25 who is returning to school to improve her ability to make a living for herself and her family. Kimberly and her husband are parents of three children, tow of whom they are assisting with their college education.
