St. Charles

• A woman on the 2900 block of Majestic Oaks Drive reported the theft of a wallet, $80 and various credit cards Tuesday. The woman told police she might have left the wallet at the St. Charles Public Library. Library staff told police no one had turned in a wallet to the lost and found.

• Police received a report of a suspicious incident Monday. A 6-foot tall woman weighing approximately 130 pounds with short blonde hair reportedly ran behind or chased a 12-year-old girl on Horne Street, between Sixth and Third streets. The police report indicates a second young girl was also in the area and ran eastbound. It's not clear why the woman was running behind the 12-year-old or where she went when the youth fled.

Kane County

• A wallet containing $600 and gift cards was stolen from a sport utility vehicle during a party Sept. 29 on the 9N300 block of Percy Road near Burlington, according to a sheriff's report.

• A small political sign in a lawn on the 1300 block of South Batavia Avenue near Batavia was set on fire and burned between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 2:43 p.m. Wednesday, according to a sheriff's report.

• Someone drove a pickup truck through a lawn on the 7N500 block of Wagontire Road near St. Charles between 2:22 and 5:11 a.m. Sunday, according to a sheriff's report.
