Get your haunt on 3-D style at Kane County Scaregrounds

Steel Beam Theatre’s 3-D haunted house, the Kane County Scaregrounds, returns for a second frightening year on select dates beginning Friday, Oct. 12.

The haunted attraction is bigger and better than last year with new features, more rooms, more characters and loads of fun. General admission is $15. This attraction is recommended for ages 13 and older. Children younger than age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets may be purchased at the door, or on line at SteelBeamTheatre.com.

“Monster-Free” Day for Children at the Kane County Scaregrounds is scheduled from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28. This milder version of the attraction allows sensitive patrons or families with young children to experience the impressive 3-D effects of the haunted house without all the scary elements. Admission for Monster Free Day is $10. Children in costume will receive a free treat. “Monster-Free” Day tickets may be purchased at the door or online at SteelBeamTheatre.com.

Kane County Scaregrounds hours of operation are 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Oct. 12 and 13, Oct. 19 and 29, Oct. 26, 27 and 28 and Oct. 30 and 31. Monster Free is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28.

The Kane County Scaregrounds 3-D Haunted House is at the Kane County Fairgrounds on Randall Road in St. Charles, Visitors should enter the Fairgrounds from Randall Road, just North of Route 38 on the West side of the street. Parking is free.
