Legislative candidates at Round Lake Beach event

The League of Women Voters of Lake County and the Round Lake Area Public Library will hold a public event for candidates in several contested races at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, off Hook Drive, west of Route 83. Candidates from the 10th Congressional District, 31st state Senate District, 62nd House District and county board districts, 3, 5, 6 and 16 have been invited. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. After brief introductory remarks, candidates will give a public interview and then be available for individual questions at their own table space. The session will end at 3:30 p.m. The event will be carried live on WRLR 98.3 FM and on the station's website, wrlr.fm. Comcast will are the event at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 on Channel 17.
