Glenbard West clinches share of Silver

No. 1 Glenbard West clinched a share of its first West Suburban Silver girls volleyball championship since 1984 on Tuesday in Glen Ellyn, beating York 25-18, 25-17. Caleigh Ryan had 4 kills, 11 digs and 2 blocks, Amanda Perry 7 kills and 8 digs and Meg DeMaar 14 digs for the Hilltoppers (26-0, 5-0). Megan Wagner added 3 kills, 5 digs and 3 blocks and Katie Ball 4 kills and 2 blocks.

Naperville North d. WW South:

Angie Jurek put down 8 kills, and the No. 12 Huskies rolled 25-7, 25-21 in Naperville. Emily Kwak set 24 assists and Colleen Larson had 9 digs for Naperville North (14-6, 7-2 DVC).

Glenbard North d. Glenbard East:

Stephanie Tobison sparked Glenbard North's 25-14, 25-21 win with 9 kills, 3 blocks and 17 digs. Stephanie Wade also had a big hand with 11 kills, 13 digs and 2 blocks. For Glenbard East Meghan Hanewell had 10 kills and 9 digs and Megan Cotterill 10 digs.

Addison Trail d. Willowbrook:

The Blazers outlasted their West Suburban Gold rivals 25-21, 24-26, 28-26 behind Sabrina Muell's 12 kills and 25 digs. Christina Capuani had 9 digs and 36 assists, Devin Fruzyna 28 digs and Viviana Hernandez 10 kills for Addison Trail.

Benet d. Fenwick:

Brittany Pavich put down 8 kills, and the No. 3 Redwings (18-2, 2-2 East Suburban Catholic) breezed past Fenwick 25-9, 25-12. Fellow middle Rachael Fara added 5 kills, Hannah Kaminsky 15 assists and Caroline Wolf 9 digs.
