D.J. Moore leads kids fitness clinic Monday

Chicago Bears cornerback D.J. Moore will lead a kids fitness clinic Monday, Sept. 24, at the Midtown Athletic Club, 1760 N. Hicks Road, in Palatine — a kickoff for the Midtown 5K Run/Walk to Benefit Bears Care coming up on Sept. 29.

Moore will lead 100 children ages 6 to 14 through exercises and emphasize the benefits of leading an active, healthy lifestyle.

The Bears are an active supporter of both the Midtown 5K Run & Walk and Fuel Up to Play 60, which helps students eat right and stay active while empowering kids to make smart choices about nutrition and physical activity.

Moore will be at the club 4 to 5:30 p.m.

The 10th annual Midtown 5K Run & Walk has raised more than $250,000 for Bears Care, the official charity of the Chicago Bears.

Bears Care is committed to improving the quality of life for people in the Chicago area, especially disadvantaged children and their families through targeted programs supporting education, youth athletics, medical research and health awareness programs.
