Income tax cuts don’t help growth

Economic history shows that cutting income taxes has never led to economic growth and job creation. On the other hand, government spending (particularly on infrastructure and education) has.

Therefore, I find it hard to understand why the Republican Party has relentlessly called for more and more tax cuts — and mostly for the rich who don’t need them — while demanding harmful cuts in government spending that weaken the poor and middle class.

My conclusion is that the GOP’s true agenda is to amass power in order to reward its rich paymasters. This bunch of irresponsible and self-serving politicians don’t care at all about the overall good of the nation.
