Creatures great, small deserve respect

It was very encouraging to read that many people have been interested in the educational, enlightening and compassionate Bug Fest event in Batavia. Many bugs and insects are virtual godsends for the well-being of ecosystems, biodiversity and most importantly pollination. Insects should not be demonized and treated like enemies of the human race.

Conversely, they should be respected because the Omnipotent Creator who placed them in this world knew that every species large and small had and continues to have an integral role to play in the grand scheme of things. Creatures ranging from majestic whales to tiny ants should be allowed to live in safety and peace in their respective habitats.
