Libertarians to host state convention in Des Plaines

The Libertarian Party of Illinois will conduct its second state convention this year from Sept. 21-23 at the O’Hare Hilton Garden Inn, 2930 S. River Road in Des Plaines.

The party is seeking to garner support and interest in its presidential nominee, a former Republican and two-term New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson. For more information on Johnson’s presidential campaign, visit GaryJohnson2012.com.

The speakers lineup includes, comedian Paul Frisbie, elected Libertarian Doug Marks, and Illinois State University professor Terry Noel. Workshops will be provided by groups such as the Illinois Policy Institute, Atlas Liberty, and the Heartland Institute.
