Election advice all should heed
A recent daily meditation from “Forward Day by Day” has a good reminder for us as citizens of this great country: “Remember that no one running for any office is Jesus Christ, and no one running against a favorite candidate is Satan! Political parties consist of human beings, all in need of salvation.”
“Instead of worshipping one side and demonizing the other” ... before an election ... research the issues and candidates”. “Can't assume ... good leaders will come from the same political party.” ... “God has not emailed anyone a detailed plan to create heaven on earth.”
“We owe it to our country ... not to be lazy about making choices. We owe it to God not to worship false Messiahs.”
It went on to say we need to “Beware of campaigns, commentators, and candidates who demonize ... opposite opinions.”
In this negative political climate our elected and “want to be elected” persons have created, I ask how will we do this ...
