Thumbs down to downtown BG plan
I am writing to you about a proposed plan for a downtown Buffalo Grove. Our homeowners association, the Villas of Manchester Greens, representing 58 homes, is to the east of the golf course and we are planning to oppose this concept.
We don’t want the noise, the congestion, the commercialization, the radical change to a beautiful, natural environment.
This seems a very grandiose idea in these economic times and for this location. We already have too many vacancies in surrounding commercial areas. Nearby downtowns are not doing well. Our own Town Center is currently like a ghost town. We don’t need another.
