The victim was exiting her vehicle on the 3N400 block of Center Court near Addison about 12:55 p.m. Thursday when a man in a clown mask approached and tried to restrain her. A struggle ensued, and the offender fled, according to the sheriff's office.

Barajas was arrested after investigators reviewed video footage of the attack, authorities said. He also is accused of harassing the victim by electronic means.

Barajas was being held in the county lockup Friday. If convicted of the most serious charge -- aggravated battery -- he could face up to five years in prison.
