Route 60/83 to close in Mundelein:
Route 60/83 will be fully closed at the Canadian National Railroad in Mundelein for 11 days beginning at 6 a.m. Monday through 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 for repairs at the grade crossing. The posted detour route for eastbound traffic will be south on Midlothian Road, east on Gilmer Road and north on Diamond Lake Road to Route 60/83. The posted detour route for westbound traffic will be south on Diamond Lake Road, west on Gilmer Road, and north on Midlothian Road back to Route 60/83. Diamond Lake Road north of Route 60/83 has been closed the past week for railroad crossing work.
