• A purse was stolen between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 6:15 a.m. Wednesday from a vehicle in the 43W0-99 block of Derek Drive near Elburn, according to a sheriff's report.

• Four vehicles in the 43W800 block of Midlothian Turnpike near Elburn were burglarized between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a sheriff's report. Some of the items taken were a backpack containing four wallets and a checkbook, along with compact discs and loose change.

• A blue Yahama wave runner was reported stolen from the 6N400 block of Route 31 near St. Charles but later found Tuesday tied to a tree in the Fox River near Ferson Creek Park, according to a sheriff's report.
