Deadline extended to Sept. 17 for Heart of BG award nominations

The Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce has extended the deadline for nominations for the 2012 Hedart of Buffalo Grove awards.

The awards will be given to community volunteers and caring individuals in the following categories: Community; Senior and Youth volunteer awards; the Teach & Inspire award; and awards for business philanthropy; going Above and Beyond; and a group award -- Together We Can.

The Heart of Buffalo Grove Awards will be presented at a celebration dinner event Nov. 10 at the Arboretum Club in Buffalo Grove. Nominations are now due by Monday, Sept. 17.

The chamber encourages residents and businesses of Buffalo Grove to make nominations for these awards. Nominations can be made on the chamber website, www.buffalogrovechamber.org, or download the form and return it to the Buffalo Grove village hall or the chamber office, 50 Raupp Blvd., behind the village hall.

Feel free to nominate more than one person for any and all awards. For details, call the chamber at (847) 541-7799.

The chamber also encourages businesses to promote themselves at the awards banquet. Sponsor forms are available with the nomination forms.
