Health-themed restaurant opening in Rolling Meadows

A new casual health food restaurant, Muscle Maker Grill, will open in Rolling Meadows by the end of September, its owners announced on Tuesday.

Muscle Maker Grill will offer wraps, pasta, salads, protein shakes and other healthy options, according to the owners. The menu will also include gluten free, vegan and vegetarian-friendly options.

The restaurant, located at 1673 Algonquin Road in the Market Place Plaza, will be the first Muscle Maker Grill in Illinois. Expected to open Sept. 28, the eatery will take the place of Hungry Restaurant, which closed in that location last spring.

“Our new agreement is helping Muscle Maker Grill continue the growth that has made it as one of the nation’s fastest-growing restaurant chains,” Rod Silva, founder of Muscle Maker Grill, said in a news release.

The restaurant will seat 85 guests inside and 12 outside.

“We are excited to open a new Muscle Maker Grill restaurant and welcome the community in to enjoy our full menu of healthy food, desert items, and beverages,” franchisee Barry Donalson said. “This new restaurant is sure to become a location where families and friends can gather to share smiles and stories over great healthy meals.”
