Roskam letter prompts skepticism

Well, Peter J. Roskam is at it again. He is now sending out letters to the people of the 6th District telling us how he introduced legislation to cap the dividend tax rate for the people of Illinois.

I would like for him to explain to the people how the politicians let this rate go from 15 percent to what will be 40 percent by Jan. 1. If they were working in our best interest then it seems to me that this should not have come up in the first place. And don’t tell me it is this party or that party. I am tired, as well as all the other people are, of this excuse.

I have found through life that when a person pats himself on the back and says he is doing something for you believe me he is only helping himself. Which brings me to another part of his letter: This mailing was prepared, published, and mailed at taxpayers’ expense.
