Higher education not priority for Romney

From what I see coming from the Republican public relations committees, and what I expect to hear coming from Mitt Romney any minute now;

1. There is no such thing as global warming. It’s part of the Democrats’ socialist agenda.

2. There never has been any such thing as evolution, and as William Jennings Brian once said, “The world is exactly 4,000 years old.”

3. Martin Luther King Jr. was not assassinated; he committed suicide.

You don’t believe this? Just ask Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin.

But if you still like the idea of Mitt Romney, keep in mind his goal to reduce — or eliminate — any program that would continue or promote aid for higher education for the nation’s youth. Just one more item on his platform to create a new America as “the land of the working poor.”
