Disturbed by Scouts who returned medals

Your Aug. 6 article on Eagle Scouts returning their medals due to the Boy Scouts’ reaffirmed policy of excluding gays was very disturbing. These apparently intelligent people, with their display of intelligence, are a disgrace to their professions and any connection they may have had to the Boy Scouts.

With the inclusion of gay members to an organization that caters to young boys and men, what do they think the possible consequence could be?

The display of this one individual with his medal gives the impression of agreement by the Herald, especially to include it on Page 2. All of these liberal views on our existence are going to destroy this country.

At the time of issuing medals the Scouts should have been more selective.
