Prairie Lakes Community Center Turns Twenty!

The Des Plaines Park District will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Prairie Lakes Community Center September 4-7 with a week of free Fitness Center specials. On September 4 the public is invited to an Open House from 5:00-8:00pm. The first 100 people through the doors will receive a gift. On September 5 personal trainers will be available from 6:00-10:00am, noon-2:00pm, and 6:00-9:00pm to offer free advice on workout routines and free fitness assessments. There will also be a Cycling Open House at 6:00pm and free cycling classes at 6:00am and 6:30pm. On September 6, admission to the Fitness Center will be free all day for everyone 16 years and older. Admission to the gym from 3:30-10:00pm will be free for kids, teens, and adults. Friday, September 7 is Fitness Membership Discount Day. New and renewing Fitness and Racquetball Memberships will be 20% off.

Prairie Lakes is located at 515 East Thacker Street in Des Plaines. Fall hours are Monday -Thursday 5:30am- 10:30pm, Fridays 5:30am-9:30pm, and weekends 7:00am-5:00pm. For more information call 847-391-5711 or visit www.DPParks.org
