As part of the celebration of Workforce Development Week, the Lake County Job Center will host an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 at the Waukegan Job Center, 1 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. The open house will allow guests to tour the job center facilities, learn more about training and job search support programs for youth and adults, and discover programs that help local businesses attract and retain a high-quality workforce. "The network of local workforce systems across the country form a critical link between jobseekers, educational institutions, and businesses," said Todd Mundorf, chairman of the Lake County Workforce Investment Board. "We prepare workers for their next job, and help companies find the best new hires." Visit: www.LakeCountyJobCenter.com. For information on the open house or to R.S.V.P., contact firstname.lastname@example.org or (847) 377-3435.
