Get in the game; reclaim government

Career politicians bank with smug arrogance on the complacency and willful ignorance of the voting public, considering most of us to be easily herded, gullible sheep. We need only look in the mirror to identify those responsible for the corruption and malfeasance permeating government. We elect these folks then ignore them as they craft their mischief.

Votes cast in this November’s election for the Oval Office all the way to the county board will determine whether we become the failed nanny state of Greece and Spain or pass to future generations the real promise of American exceptionalism embodied in limitless opportunity for every individual with a genuine work ethic. Unquestionably, the future prosperity of our children and grandchildren will be profoundly influenced and inexorably forged by the choices we make.

Occupy Athens, Madrid or Wall Street alongside the spoiled-brat malcontents with outstretched hands demanding lifelong entitlements or join the rock-solid line of support at your local Chick-fil-A in quiet defiance of public officials’ unabashed assault on the First Amendment, religious freedom and private enterprise.

Evil will continue to flourish as long as good men do nothing. Get in the game.
