Support Obama’s jobs legislation

India is suffering the worst electrical blackout in history. Its electrical grid failed because it had not been updated and improved to handle increasing demands. In other words, India’s infrastructure failed because of a lack of rebuilding and replacement.

America’s infrastructure also needs rebuilding and replacement. We have already suffered localized outages in our electrical grid. Our system of bridges and highways are crumbling. Our public schools need repair and updating. Catching up on this delayed maintenance would create millions of badly needed jobs and stimulate our economy.

Republicans need to stop blocking President Obama’s jobs legislation because they want him to be a “one-term” president. We need to build our infrastructure and we need jobs. It is un-American to make our nation and its citizens suffer for selfish and partisan political gain.
