Cicero man charged with Glendale Heights bank robbery
A Cicero man has been charged in connection with a bank robbery in Glendale Heights, federal authorities said this week.
Glenn A. Rodgers, 43, was arrested and charged with one felony count of bank robbery for the July 27 robbery of the TCF Bank at 2164 Bloomingdale Road.
Police said Rodgers approached the bank counter, demanded money from a teller and left with an undisclosed amount of cash just before 1 p.m.
Rodgers also is believed to have robbed a TCF Bank at 7122 W. 40th St. in Stickney on June 11, authorities said.
Authorities with the FBI and Cicero Police Department took Rodgers into custody Wednesday without incident at his home.
On Thursday, he appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sheila M. Finnegan to face the bank robbery charge. He was released on bond pending his next court appearance.
