It's all about pink at the Pink Heals Health Fair and Blood Drive Wednesday, Aug. 22, in Bartlett.
This event is all about health. Visitors can check their bone density, cholesterol, blood pressure and have varicose vein screenings taken.

Representatives from Sherman Hospital, St. Alexius Medical Center, Provena Joseph's Hospital, Hanover Township's Office of Community Health, and the Bartlett Police Department will be present to distribute health and safety information.
Additionally, Life Source will be on-site for any participants interested in donating blood.
The Pink Heals organization will bring the iconic pink fire truck, which tours the nation putting a spotlight on eradicating breast cancer and other cancers, and helps local police and fire departments raise money for charity.
They want to raise awareness and support for women who are facing all types of cancer.

The Health Fair and Blood Drive will be from 8 a.m. to noon at Fire Station No. 1, 234 N. Oak Ave. in Bartlett.
In support of the Pink Heals organization, the Bartlett Fire Protection District will sell T-shirts and sweatshirts to raise money for local women battling cancer. A limited number of shirts will be available for sale at the health fair.

The commitment of the Bartlett firefighters does not stop there. They will be wearing pink T-shirts as their daily uniform now through Aug. 24 to show their support for Pink Heals.
