Armed patrons mean same or worse outcome
This is in response to the gentleman who wrote in the op-ed section on Aug. 3 regarding the Colorado theater shooting.
I believe that having armed citizens in the Colorado theater shooting would have changed nothing, except for more innocent people being shot in the crossfire. The assailant wore head-to-toe full combat protection and a gas mask. He flooded the show with gas before shooting his 100-round AR15 and pistols. Unless the gun-carrying citizens wore armor, had gas masks and armor piercing bullets, they could have done nothing.
I really don’t believe that you understood the facts before you wrote your letter.
