The Community Action Partnership of Lake County hosts its first community yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at 1200 Glen Flora Ave., Waukegan. Lake County residents can donate, sell or shop at this event. Clothes, electronics, kitchen accessories, toys, baby items, comic books, furniture, small appliances and more will be available. Residents can donate gently used items for the organization or residents can buy a 10-foot by 10-foot space/two tables and chairs for $20 to sell their own items. Call (847) 249-4330 for information or to schedule a donation drop-off, available 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20 through Thursday, Aug. 23, or to reserve a space by Aug. 20. Proceeds will help expand services and programs to Lake County's low-income children and families. Parking is available at the rear of the building.
