Woodfield not in Kuma’s Corner

Hype over the possibility of a Kuma's Corner restaurant opening in Schaumburg's Woodfield Mall was over before it really began Friday. The buzz was generated by reports of the restaurant being listed as a "coming soon" tenant on one of the mall's directories. But on its Facebook page Friday, the restaurant at 2900 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, posted, "Dear everyone: No, we aren't opening a Kuma's at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. Good talk." Neither Kuma's Corner nor Woodfield Mall staff returned calls asking how the restaurant's name came to be on the directory.
