Police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old woman whose body was found in a Hoffman Estates hotel room on Tuesday, Aug. 7. Hoffman Estates police Sgt. Darin Felgenhauer said police and paramedics were called to the Hampton Inn, 2825 Greenspoint Parkway, after someone found the woman unresponsive in a room at about 1 p.m. Tuesday. The woman, of Schaumburg, was pronounced dead at the scene, Felgenhauer said. The Cook County medical examiner's office said an autopsy was done Wednesday, but a cause of death was not given, pending toxicology tests. Authorities said foul play is not suspected.
