Readers sought for students

United Way of Lake County seeks individuals to volunteer as readers or reading tutors for elementary school students in Waukegan classrooms. Training will be provided for all volunteers. This opportunity requires a commitment of one hour each week during the school year. There is also a need for Spanish bilingual volunteers. Training for readers and tutors is scheduled for the week of Sept. 17. Volunteers will begin in the classroom between Sept. 24 and Oct. 1. Contact Sue Baehr Sue.Baehr@uwlakeco.org or (847) 775-1032.
