Officials said firefighters were forced to extricate three people from one of the two vehicles involved in the crash.

A Chevy TrailBlazer was headed north on Walker Road and failed to stop at the stop sign before striking a Dodge truck that was traveling west on Allen Road, according to Kane County sheriff's Lt. Patrick Gengler.

Mutual aid ambulances from Burlington, Pingree Grove and Genoa assisted at the scene in transporting the seven patients.

Hampshire fire officials said the injuries appeared to be nonlife-threatening.

Police said all injuries were minor, and a full crash report would be available Friday morning.
