Need to know about Romney investments

I have read somewhere that Mr. Romney may have placed some of his investments in offshore locations like the Cayman Islands and Switzerland. Of course, if they are there, those investments cannot be subject to U.S. taxes.

Placing them there would be a smart way to save money, but, if he has done this, it is a serious matter because it deprives income from the government he hopes to lead, and it is badly needed. If what we read is true, we are not going to respond enthusiastically when he tells us to pay our taxes.

We need to know more about this, so that it can be determined whether what has been reported is indeed the case. It would be a very serious matter if a candidate for president would knowingly deprive his own government of income, especially at a time in which we are so deeply in debt. I have not seen any recent reporting of this, and I believe we have a right to know the facts.
