Waukegan library fines

Beginning Aug. 1, Waukegan Public Library patrons can sign up for a new payment plan to gradually reconcile any outstanding fines. The library will reinstate computer and checkout privileges for patrons who pay as little as 10 percent of what they owe, so long as they agree to pay another 10 percent of the total fine each time they check out materials. While on the payment plan, patrons may continue to check out up to two items at a time, excluding BluRays, DVDs, videogames and interlibrary loan materials. If those items are not returned on time, checkout and computer privileges will again discontinue. To sign up for the new payment plan, visit the library or call (847) 623-2041 with questions.
