Naperville Park District wants to hear from golfers

With golf course revenues continuing to be a concern, Naperville Park District wants to hear from those who know its two facilities best about what will keep them coming back.

The district is conducting three focus groups on Aug. 6 and 8 to hear what golfers have to say about Springbrook and Naperbrook golf courses. The groups are scheduled for 7:30 to 9 a.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Aug. 6 and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 8.

Previous focus group participants have helped generate changes at the courses, including bringing back the Chicago District Golf Association handicap system; adding value to the frequent golfer card known as the Brooks Advantage Card; offering lower rates; and improving the courses themselves.

“Our annual golf focus groups are a great opportunity for the park district to connect with our customers and find out what they like as well as hear about their ideas for improvements,” spokeswoman Sameera Luthman said. “We’re looking forward to hosting these feedback sessions again because the input our customers provide is very meaningful and helpful to the future of our golf operations.”

Participants will be served refreshments and each will receive a small gift. A maximum of 12 participants will be needed for each session.

Golfers interested in participating should send contact information and preferred session dates and times via email to golfpromo@napervilleparks.org.
