Lake County Family YMCA is looking for memories and stories to include as part of its centennial birthday party from 3 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, at Northern Lake YMCA, 2000 Western Ave., Waukegan. The memories could be of summer camp, swimming lessons or other activities. Cards are available at the Northern Lake facility, as well as the Central Lake YMCA, 700 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills, on which to share the memories. Stories also can be sent to aoconnell@ymcalakecounty.org or "like" Lake County Family YMCA on Facebook and write the memory on the wall. All memories received by July 9 will be part of a special display at the July 18 event. The public is invited to that event, which includes family games such as an obstacle course, tug-of-war and water-balloon fights. Call (847) 996-6951 for more information.
