A portion of pavement on Golf Road has buckled in Schaumburg, causing lanes to be shut down between Wilkening and Basswood roads.

Schaumburg police received a call notifying them of the situation at 4:56 p.m., a spokesman said.

There have been no crashes or injuries due to the buckling, which occurred near Bahama Breeze restaurant. The extreme heat is believed to be the cause of the buckling.
