Batavia school Trustee Jayne Resek is quitting the board.
She announced the resignation at Tuesday's school board meeting, citing increased travel for her job and increased family commitments as the reasons.
Resek was first elected in 2001. Her latest term expires in April.
A replacement is being sought to fill in the rest of the term. The next election is April 9.
Applicants must be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years old, and a registered voter of Illinois and the school district for at least one year preceding the appointment.
