The Thomas Middle School eighth-grade boys volleyball team celebrated another victory and its second perfect season together.

The team remained undefeated in all its games in regular season play and in tournament play for the past two years, the first in school history.

The team recently won the Prairie Lakes Tourney in Des Plaines May 21, placing first out of 10 local teams.

"They are an extremely athletic group that just enjoys playing sports together," said Coach Kate Renno. "They are so talented, invested in Thomas athletics, and enjoy playing multiple sports, that when they chose to play volleyball it was just a natural extension of their individual athleticism and teamwork."
