Itasca man faces child porn charges

A 49-year-old Itasca man is facing child pornography charges following a three-month investigation, authorities said Wednesday.

Wayne D. Noren, 49, of the 1700 block of Norwood Avenue, was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

A search warrant was executed at Noren’s residence on May 11.

The investigation was conducted by the Carol Stream Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Itasca Police Department.

Noren also was charged with one count of unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon. He was previously convicted on a burglary charge, according to Carol Stream Sgt. Tom Miller.

Noren was transported to the DuPage County jail, where bail was set at $250,000.
