Wadsworth family welcomes sixth Eagle Scout

Stefan Woloshyn, son of Eagle Scout James Woloshyn of Wadsworth is the newest and sixth person of the Woloshyn family to attain the rank of Eagle Scout.

Stefan’s Eagle project was a 300-foot-long boardwalk in the Waukegan River area of Roosevelt Park. Stefan, and fellow volunteers from Boy Scout Troop 675, also cleared out about 10-feet on each side of the boardwalk to put in plants. The purpose of this public service project was to clean up all the garbage, pull out all the evasive garlic mustard plants and to help prevent soil erosion.

The other Woloshyn family Eagle Scouts are: Eagle Scout Jeffrey Woloshyn and his son Eagle Scout Derek Woloshyn of Woodridge; Eagle Scout Jay Woloshyn of Hawthorn Woods, whose sons Timothy and Jonathon, have both reached the rank of Life Scout; and Eagle Scout John Woloshyn of North Salem, N.Y., whose two sons — Christopher, a Life Scout and Ian a Cub Scout — are planning to become Eagle Scouts.

The Woloshyn boys, James, Jeffrey, Jay and John all attended Scouts and earned their Eagle Rank through Trinity Lutheran Church of Des Plaines.
